Thermal inkjet (TIJ) technology uses proven Hewlett Packard disposable ink jet cartridges, which means very clean and simple consumable/fluid replacement, and minimal maintenance. Since the cartridge contains both the ink and the printhead, a new printhead and ink system is supplied with every ink changeover, ensuring high reliability and consistent print quality. But don't think this makes it an expensive consumable option – TIJ consistently outperforms traditional coding methods and provides a much lower total cost of ownership.
